Make Your Exit

Make Your Exit.

Origin: Toronto, Canada

Album: Remind Me the Reason I Came

Release: September 22nd, 2009

This five-piece emo style indie band is something you would hear on ‘Nick and Norah’s Playlist’ and ‘Juno’. Slow beats and moody sounds topped with tons of vocals, overlapped and inarticulate.

“Compared to the likes of Midlake and Fleet Foxes, Make Your Exit […]

Mayhem Festival

Event Rating: ★★★½☆
Venue: Cruzan Amphitheatre – West Palm Beach, FL
Presented by: Live Nation

Oh, Mayhem Festival, a night of insane guitar riffs and gratuitous head banging. The night opened on the main stage with Welsh metal heads, Bullet for My Valentine. The four rockers put on a good show headed by front man Matt Tuck. […]

What blue the funk out of music??? Thick base lines, great guitar solos and beautiful rhythm that’s what.

Funk music a cup of blues, and a pinch of jazz, is the signature taste of this New Orleans band. This is the type of band you want to hear on […]

Paramore

Paramore

Event Rating: ★★★☆☆
(non collaborated)*

Paramore is the kind of band that is better live than on the radio. Their live energy really adds to their music. Jeremy really stood out and rightly so the guy is awesome; a really good performer. His priceless back flip over Josh’s back really got the crowd going.

I can’t recall whether I was in the audience or if I was on this extension of the stage, hanging out, and having a good time making music with a few of my friends. Or at least that’s how it felt.

Sometimes it takes a girl’s touch, a cool girl’s touch, to make […]

Ok, some may not fully agree on the categorization of “World Music“… well, although there may be reasons that may seem valid otherwise, when you draw so many influences from different styles of music around the world that are so distinctively strong… that […]

NIN|JA

NIN|JA (Nine Inch Nails + Jane’s Addiction)
5/8/2009
Event Rating: ★★★★☆
(non collaborated)*

NIN was a little disappointing. Just because 1) the selection of songs was weird, and 2) the crew Trent had playing with him.

Trent had a new drummer, guitarist and bass player and they were just not as good as the “Beside You in Time” crew… not musically just […]

Motley Crue

Motley Crue

Event Rating: ★★☆☆☆

As one would expect from experience musicians the concert started without a hitch. Everything started great the instruments were balanced and the voice sounded great. After about the 5th song Bret’s voice started to sound like Mickey Mouse [was someone behind the booth with a pitch modulator?]. As time passed on […]
